Of course you can always do what you like, but in case you still can’t decide here is a bit of inspiration!

Classic Updo

A timeless choice, an updo can be sleek, elegant, or romantic, depending on the desired look. It keeps the hair off the face and allows accessories like veils or hairpins to be easily incorporated.

Elegant Chignon

A chignon is a classic and sophisticated hairstyle. It involves twisting the hair into a low bun at the nape of the neck. This style can be worn sleek and polished or slightly tousled for a more relaxed vibe.

What’s the difference between a Classic Updo and Elegant Chigon?

While these two may look similar and are both popular wedding hairstyles, they do have some differences in their execution and overall appearance.

While all elegant chignons can be considered updos, not all updos are necessarily chignons. Chignons specifically refer to a particular style within the broader category of updo hairstyles. They are known for their low placement and polished, timeless aesthetic.

An updo refers to a hairstyle where the hair is arranged and secured away from the face and neck, typically into a bun, knot, or twist. It involves gathering the hair and styling it in an elevated position on the head. The term "updo" is a broad category that encompasses a range of styles.

A chignon is a specific type of updo hairstyle. It involves twisting or rolling the hair into a low bun at the nape of the neck. The word "chignon" itself is derived from the French term for "nape." A chignon is typically positioned lower on the head compared to other updos. It tends to have a more classic, refined, and elegant look.

Side Swept

A glamorous choice, sweeping the hair to one side adds an asymmetrical touch. It works well with both updos and flowing hairstyles, creating a flattering and eye-catching effect.

Hair Extensions

Hair extensions are commonly used to add length, volume, and versatility to wedding hairstyles. They can help achieve various styles, from intricate updos to long, flowing locks.

Colorful Hair

Some brides are opting for non-traditional hair colors to express their individuality. Pastel hues, bold highlights, or even vibrant all-over colors can create a unique and eye-catching bridal look.

Vintage-Inspired

For a retro feel, you can opt for vintage-inspired hairstyles like victory rolls, finger waves, or pin curls. These styles are perfect for a themed wedding or if you want to embrace a particular era.
